Why specialize in consulting and coaching for neurodivergent business owners?
More than 1 in 4 adults in the United States have some form of disability. Of those, nearly 14% have “serious difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions”.
Sound familiar to you or someone you know? Yep, I thought so!
The neurodiversity community is one I’m a proud member of. It’s not simply a corporate niche.
Terms like ‘neurodivergent’ and ‘disabled’ encompass a range of conditions, experiences, and needs. They are inclusionary on purpose. So am I - in terms of both support needs and business types.
I’ve worked with a lot of folks who run businesses directly related to neurodivergence (such as ADHD coaching), but my goal is to help all kinds of business owners in the neurodiverse community, especially solo entrepreneurs.
Building a business is a shit-ton of work. It’s extra hard for neurodivergent brains.
We experience frequent intense feelings of frustration, shame, and anxiety running parallel with the waves of passionate ambition. We take a lot of burden upon ourselves to constantly ”do better and do more” so we can achieve our dreams, which often may involve helping others in some way.
Traumatic events and different comorbidities in conditions are examples of influential factors I keep in mind in my work. This is because I personally know the freedom and blossoming which can take place when there is a safe umbrella of understanding for them.
Being able to provide this for others is incredibly fulfilling and a great source of joy for me. It also allows me the opportunity to create a job for myself that meets my own needs as a neurodivergent and disabled person.
